Thank you for your interest in following, sharing and promoting Desert Warrior Ministries. In this post, I will outline some ideas that may help you to participate and engage in this ministry together with us.
When you FOLLOW Desert Warrior Ministries, you will stay connected and recieve all of the updates, events, posts and notices. You can FOLLOW the Blog, the Facebook page or the Twitter feed.
When you SHARE Desert Warrior Ministries on YOUR Facebook and Twitter networks, you are promoting DWM and getting the word out to your friends, family members and other favorite people. When you retweet and click favorite on Twitter, you are promoting DWM. This is very much appreciated and is essential to helping DWM go VIRAL (no, that is not a disease). Going VIRAL means that the information and ministry of DWM is meeting a need and people are talking, sharing and promoting it on their own. Assuming that this ministry meets a spiritual need in your life, please prayerfully consider SHARING it over and over again (not just once). You are an important part of this ministry and DWM would love to be an important part of your life ministry.
Finally, when you LIKE Desert Warrior Ministries (either this BLOG or the DWM Facebook page), you are also promoting DWM in an important way. The amount of LIKES tells search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo that this Blog is popular and contains information of value. Already, we are receiving “searches” with terms such as “Jesus Alien Theory” and other searches from both Christians and non-Christians alike. Your help in LIKEing us will get us a better standing on key search words and phrases. Once again, this is an important aspect of the DWM ministry.
Here are some step by step instructions for how to FOLLOW, SHARE and LIKE Desert Warrior Ministries.
1. How to FOLLOW
There are three things to FOLLOW on this website, namely, the DWM Facebook Page, the DWM Twitter Feed and the DWM Blog itself.
In order to FOLLOW the DWM Facebook Page, go to the left sidebar and click on the LIKE button. The LIKE button will connect the DWM Facebook page to your Facebook page.
Once you click on the LIKE button, a pop-up screen will appear and give you a chance to sign in to your Facebook account. If you don´t have a Facebook account, on the bottom of the pop-up screen there is a link which will allow you to sign up for Facebook.
Once you sign in, you will be redirected to your own Facebook page and you will automatically be following and LIKEing the Desert Warrior Ministries Facebook page. There is nothing more to do. Just logout whenever you are ready and you will come back to this website.
Secondly, in order to follow the DWM Twitter Feed, go to the left sidebar and click on the “Follow@desertwarrior3” button for Twitter at the bottom of the Twitter feed.
Once you click on the FOLLOW button, a pop-up screen will appear and give you a chance to sign in to your Twitter account. It willl show you MY Twitter information at the top as the Twitter account you want to follow.
Fill in your Twitter account information and click “Sign In” and go to your Twitter account. You will automatically follow the DMW Twitter feed. Logout of your Twitter account when you are ready and you will come back to this website.
Finally, and probably most importantly, in order to follow the DWM Blog, go to the left sidebar and click on the FOLLOW button for “Follow Blog via Email”. This means that you will automatically recieve in your email account any new POSTS published on this DWM Blog.
Simply fill in the email address that you would like to use and click on the FOLLOW button. Every POST sent to your email address will have links that will allow you to come back to this website if you want to. Enjoy.
2. How to SHARE
On the bottom of every POST and PAGE there are SHARING buttons to publish that Post or Page on YOUR facebook page or Twitter Feed. You also have the opportunity to use the PRESS THIS button to capture this post and publish it on your Blog.
This is different from the FOLLOW buttons since these SHARE buttons are a one time event and only for the Post or Page you are visiting. If you FOLLOW the Blog, Facebook Page or Twitter Feed, you will also be able to SHARE the content with all of your followers as well.
3. How to LIKE
On the bottom of each Post or Page is also a LIKE button for the Blog. This LIKE button is specific to each Post or Page and is very useful to the search engines in determining that this website has information of value.
Please feel free to like multiple pages and any posts that you read. Your help is a ministry to others who need to hear the message of God´s grace in their lives.
A final word about COPYRIGHT notices on this blog/website. Each Post and Page has a specific copyright notice for that Post or Page.
There is also a general copyright notice on the sidebar that refers to each and every Post and Page as well as the website/blog as a whole.
As you can see, there is also a Scripture Copyright notice for all Bible verses used in this website/blog. Finally, there is also a general copyright notice on the bottom, in the dark grey area at the bottom of the blog which you can see on any page of the website.
There are a couple of issues to remember when talking about copyright notices. I make the comment that “Footnotes and references included in original manuscript.” Obviously, there are quotes and references to other people´s work within my work and their rights need to be protected. In addition, we need to be careful to protect the rights of the NIV translators of the Bible and finally, my work also has rights under International Copyright Laws.
What all of this means is that you are allowed to SHARE and PROMOTE any material on this website/blog so long as their is a clear and correct copyright notice and link directing people back to this website.
For those who are interested in non-digital reprint rights, please send me an email with the pertinent information and I will grant those reprint rights (almost always) by return email. Thank you for understanding.
