Good morning, Lord. Thank you for another day. The water has risen again and the streets are flooded. It´s like we are in our own isolated world here even though we can still get out. Hard to sleep last night what with the wind rattling the windows and the rain drumming on the roof. But thank you, Lord, for a week of vacation for Vero and Melu and an interesting week (Spirit Week) for Michu at BAICA.
Lord, I´ve been trying to sharpen the vision for DWM. Right now it seems to be only an expression of our gifts – writing/speaking and painting/drawing but I have been thinking more about how we can serve the online community of believers. You have given me a pretty clear message and if I had to sum it up, it would be “relational evangelism” and “distinctive apologetics” and “radical discipleship.” I believe that you want me to write and teach your people, using modern technology, about this perspective on the Christian life and mission. Not that it is really anything new (and it shouldn´t be) but it is a message that is expressed in the context of my life and creative gifts. Perhaps it will encourage someone to give thier life to you or surrender fully to your will. That is my prayer, Lord.
You know how much I like to create (and learn to create) effective power points, tutorials, webinars, classes etc and provide various resources from others as well (that fit into this message) and teach people how to harness the power of social networking and relationship/internet marketing to get your truth out into the mainstream of our international English and Spanish culture. Lord, I envision making video presentations, book reviews, movie analysis with snippets of the movie embeded in it in order to use real world examples of how our relationship with you is distinctive from anybody else, any other religion and certainly distinctive from secular humanism.
Lord, I really want to write and create content and package it in interesting ways but I need the resources and time and talent to do so. If this vision is from you, Lord, confirm it in my heart and show me in terms of support, prayers and financial encouragement from your people. If I am running out ahead of you, rein me in. If I am falling behind, please spur me on. I want to follow you, Lord, and when I stumble and my flesh gets in the way, Lord, bring me to my knees before your cross and raise me again to a new life full of your power, promises and presence. I only want to please you, Lord, and become useful to your great rescue operation.
Thank you for Fernando and for his interest in this project. He is also on an adventure of grace and it will be exciting to see where you lead us. Lord, without your blessing, all of our efforts are in vain. We give up our efforts at ministry and success and leave all our ambitions (even our holy ones) in your hands. It is your pleasure that we seek, Lord. Thank you for that opportunity and possibility of pleasing you with our attitude and actions today. In your name, I pray. Amen.
